Dr. Scott Gibbons Joined Eye Care Associates in January 2023. He grew up in Nampa and graduated from Boise State with a B.S. in Health Science Studies. He then moved his family to Memphis Tennessee to attend the Southern College of Optometry. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. Gibbons was selected for a 1-year residency program at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Gibbons has considerable training and expertise in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, corneal disorders, and other eye conditions. He has specialized training in fitting routines and specialized contact lenses for corneal conditions such as Keratoconus, Pellucid, and scarring. He also has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating dry eye which is so prevalent in our Idaho climate.
Dr. Gibbons has lectured and presented to his peers at the local and national level on topics of ocular surface diseases, retinal conditions, and dry eye.
Dr. Gibbons and his wife Julieann are 3rd generation Idahoans who love all that Idaho has to offer. You might find them with their family at a BSU football game, at the lake, skiing at Bogus Basin, or camping in the sawtooth mountains.
