Dr. Scott Gibbons O.D.

Dr. Timothy Scott Gibbons, better known as Dr. Scott Gibbons, is an accomplished optometrist with a profound commitment to his patients and community. A cherished member of the Eye Care Associates team since January 2023, Dr. Gibbons is renowned for his expert knowledge, compassionate care, and his deep-rooted connection to Nampa, Idaho.

Born and bred in Nampa, Dr. Gibbons pursued his B.S. in Health Science Studies from Boise State. His journey then took him to Memphis, Tennessee, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry. A residency at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center followed, equipping him with specialized training in primary eye care and complex ocular diseases.

Dr. Gibbons spent the next decade in a referral-based ophthalmology clinic, managing postoperative surgical care related to cataracts, Lasik, glaucoma, pterygium, and eyelid surgeries. He developed considerable expertise in the diagnosis and management of various eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and corneal disorders. His specialty lies in fitting routine and specialized contact lenses for conditions such as Keratoconus, Pellucid, and scarring, and he has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating the prevalent dry eye condition in the Idaho climate.

An advocate for ongoing learning, Dr. Gibbons has lectured and presented on ocular surface diseases, retinal conditions, and dry eye at both local and national levels. His favorite aspect of patient care is the sheer joy on a child’s face when they see clearly for the first time, a testament to his empathetic approach.

Dr. Gibbons’ love for his community extends beyond his practice. A fan of the local cuisine, you might find him enjoying the fajita nachos at Jalapeno’s, and He also admires the customer service and quick turnaround at the International Minute Press.

When not improving the vision of his beloved community, Dr. Gibbons can be found cheering at a BSU football game, skiing at Bogus Basin, or camping in the sawtooth mountains with his wife Julieann and their family.
